Booking and Payments

At the time of booking valid card details are required to secure the reservation – nothing will be charged to this card apart from in the case of a cancellation (please see below). Full payment is due before departure. We accept BACs transfers, cash payments and chip and pin transactions.


Free cancellation up to 7 days before the arrival date for all reservations.
(For those made through, the full amount is due with cancellations after this time.)
If a direct booking* is cancelled between 7 days and 48 hours prior to arrival, 50% of the total booking fee is due.
If a direct booking* is cancelled less than 48 hours prior to arrival or in the event of a no-show, the full amount is due.
If we manage to re-let the room/s of a direct booking, no charge will be made.
We will consider exemptions for special cases but cannot accept responsibility for factors out of our control such as ferry cancellations and disruptions. We recommend you purchase travel insurance to cover such an eventuality.

We reserve the right to cancel or change any booking and on the rare occasion that this happens, guests will be made aware of the decision and why it has been made.

*direct bookings are those made through this website or by telephone.


Smoking is prohibited inside the house, please take it outside. Smoking in our rooms will incur a £200 fee to cover the cost of deep cleaning the room and you will be asked to leave. If you are asked to leave before the conclusion of your stay no compensation will be given.


Monamore is an adults only guest house.


Monamore is no longer dog-friendly.

Damages and Replacements

Please report any damages (other than general wear and tear) to Emily as soon as you can. We will then use our discretion as to whether a replacement should be charged for – we understand that accidents happen! If the binoculars and/or maps from the rooms are not left on departure, a charge will be made.


Failure to return your key at departure, in the case of a lost key, will incur a charge of £25 for a replacement. Keys taken by accident and posted back to us will not result in a fee.

Car Park

Vehicles on our driveway are left at the owners own risk, we cannot accept responsibility for any loss or damage.
